COVID-19 Guidelines For INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLER

South Africa’s borders are open to all travellers with requirements on arrival as below:

• A valid negative COVID -19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test result, not older than 72 hours from the date of departure from the country of origin, exception for children below 5years.
• A person entering the Republic is encouraged to install the COVID Alert SA mobile application on their mobile phones
• A passenger is required to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing norms at all times
• A person entering South Africa is subjected to screening on arrival at the point of entry, if the person is found to have had exposure to COVID -19 or is presenting with any signs and symptoms of COVID -19, must be subjected to a medical examination which may include testing and isolation at their own cost.

On Departure:

• Travellers out of South Africa will also be required to produce a negative test result
• A person exiting the Republic through a point of entry must be subjected to screening, including the completion of a traveller health questionnaire
• A person who during screening, is found to have had exposure to COVID -19 or is presenting with any signs and symptoms of COVID -19 must be subjected to a medical examination which may include testing at their own cost.

Effective 01st June 2021, South Africa has moved to Adjusted Alert Level 2 with following:

• The hours of curfew will start at 11pm and end at 4am.
• Non-essential establishments like restaurants, bars and fitness centres will need to close by 10pm. This is to allow their employees and patrons to travel home before the start of the curfew.
• All gatherings will be limited to a maximum of 100 people indoors and 250 people outdoors. Where the venue is too small to accommodate these numbers with appropriate social distancing, then no more than 50 per cent of the capacity of the venue may be used. This includes religious services, political events and social gatherings, as well as restaurants, bars, taverns and similar places

• Only Netherlands Passport Holders, D-Visa holders, and Netherlands Residency Permit holders can travel.
• Important: Airlines may allow passengers on board with only certain visa categories
• An entry ban is in place in Netherlands for all travellers except Netherlands Passport Holders, D-Visa holders and Netherlands Residency Permit holders.
• Those eligible to travel must download and fill 2 forms: ‘Health Declaration’ and ‘English Letter for Passengers’.
• All passengers need to show a negative COVID-19 test result upon arrival in the Netherlands. They can avail either of the two options given below:
• Option 1: One negative test result
• A negative COVID-19 NAAT (PCR) test result not older than 24 hours before boarding flight to the Netherlands.
• Option 2: Two negative test results
• A negative COVID-19 NAAT (PCR) test result not older than 72 hours before arrival in the Netherlands
• And a negative COVID-19 rapid test result not older than 24 hours before boarding flight to the Netherlands.
• Passengers who have a transfer in Amsterdam need 1 NAAT (PCR) test result that’s issued within 72 hours before arrival in Amsterdam.
• Those eligible to travel must quarantine for 10 days. Travellers who wish to shorten their quarantine can take a test on day 5.

• All Indian nationals, including tourists, can travel.
• Important: Airlines may allow passengers on board with only certain visa categories. Please check airline-specific guidelines before planning your travel.
• Transit through Russia is not allowed for Indian travellers. The current guidelines say: Travellers from India, UK, Turkey, Switzerland, the UAE, Maldives, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Qatar and Finland are allowed to travel only on direct flights to Russia and on flights that originate from or are destined to Russia.
• Indian travellers must carry a negative COVID RT-PCR test report, conducted 72 hours before departure and also get a test done on arrival. From 22nd May 2021, it is mandatory for all passengers to carry COVID test reports which have a QR code on them that can be scanned at the airport.
• For Indian Tourists No Quarantine. However, those travelling for employment must quarantine for 14 days.

According to ministry of interior starting from 1st of july there will be no quarantine period for the guests who is coming from India, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, Nepal and Sri Lanka. We will only require a negative PCR test that run 72 hours prior to arrival.

The government of Egypt has announced that it will allow fully vaccinated travellers to enter the county without taking a PCR test. It has to be noted that the travellers must be vaccinated with any of the Egyptian Drug Authority and WHO-approved vaccines, which include Sputnik, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac and Johnson & Johnson.

Visitors should also carry their officially issued QR-coded certificates as a proof of vaccination and present it at the time of entrance. The Egyptian Ministry of Health said that travellers, who have received their second dose 14 days before travelling, can also enter the country without a PCR test.

But travellers coming from COVID-19 impacted nations will be subject to a rapid test upon arrival. For non-vaccinated travellers, a negative PCR test result is mandatory. As of now, Egypt has put India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Brazil in the list of high-risk countries.

Travellers from these countries will have to take an ID NOW COVID-19 test on arrival in Egypt, regardless of their status of vaccine. In case the result comes positive, a PCR test will be conducted. If the PCR result is also positive, the passenger will be sent to a designated hospital to quarantine.

The country started lifting several COVID-19 restrictions in June to attract visitors this year. Egypt recorded 466 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and took the overall number up to 278,761.
