1. Belgrade Fortress: This place used to contain the entire city and has lived through 2,000 years of conflict. The fortress consists of Upper Town, Lower Town, and Kalemegdan Park. Many people visit the park as it is known for its random sculptures, Zoo, amusement park, shady benches, art pavilion, and souvenir vendors. Also, visit the Military Museum, St. Petka, and Ružica churches, Roman Well, and the symbol of Belgrade – Pobednik (The Victor). This place is known for stunning views and beautiful sunsets. Do not forget to visit the Knez Mihailova Street.

2. Skadarlija: Thiscar-free and bumpy cobblestone vintage street in Belgrade serves as a Bohemian meeting place since the 1800s. Skadarlija is a place that you should not miss on your Serbia tour. Located in the capital of Serbia, this amazing street is considered as the chief bohemian quarter of Belgrade which is similar to Montmartre of Paris. This old and romantic place is widely known for its legendary history and many songs, stories, and anecdotes have a mention of it. You would see houses & taverns, wooden cobbles, and gas lanterns among the trees making this place enchanting.

3. Church of St Sava: Known as the largest Orthodox Church in the Balkan region and the second-largest one in the world, Church of St Sava is a ubiquitous monument located in Serbia’s capital. The church is beautifully crafted using white granite and marble that is visible from any approach to Belgrade. It has a great history to explore. Also, there are lots of bars and restaurants around this monumental building that you must visit to end your visit on a flavorful note.

4. Ada Ciganlija: Explore this cool island to get some refreshing vibes. Located in the middle of the city, this amazing island in Sava is the best place to spend some leisure time. It is cloaked with mature elm and oak forest. This is the best place for many recreational activities including jogging, rowing, kayaking, playing tennis & basketball or just basking in the greenery. The main draw of this place is “Belgrade’s Seaside” where you can find different bars and restaurants.

5. Petrovaradin Fortress: Once a significant military fort of the Austrian rulers, this place is worth a visit. This mighty citadel is known as Europe’s second-biggest fortress and also nicknamed as ‘Gibraltar on the Danube’. The iconic clock tower at the Ludwig bastion is a must watch as the size of the minute and hour hands are so big that even the boatman could easily read the time from a great distance. Also, the museum inside the citadel lets you know about the history of the place in great detail. You can also opt for a tour to the Petrovaradin’s 16km underground tunnels (Katakombe). If you visit in July, you can witness the amazing Exit Festival.
