So, for the sake of a developed tourism sector, the government has proposed to fund the expenses incurred by a traveller who at least visits 15 different places in India every year.
Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel announced, “the government will sponsor their travel expenses as an incentive”. The announcement has been made after the conclusion of the two-day National Tourism Conference, which has been organized by the Government of Odisha in association with FICCI at Konark.
According to the Union Minister, the Tourism Ministry will fund the travel expenses of those people who will visit 15 different destinations of India in a year. Also, he/she has to post pictures on their official website of those places”. So, it means that to be eligible for this scheme, a traveller has to travel out of his or her state.
In support of this, The Chairman of FICCI Eastern Tourism Committee, Soubhagya Mohapatra, said that they will increase the number of trains to upsurge the connectivity to diverse tourist spots. Centre will also help in connecting them by introducing more trains for tourism.
The initiative of the Union Government, ‘Paryatan Parv’, has decided that the task will be completed by 2022. On the other hand, the Ministry of Tourism wants this task to be completed within a year. Also, the Tourism Ministry wants people to consider it as an incentive and not as a monetary benefit.
